Skid Row Diaries

For the past year, I've been shooting portraits and interviewing people living on the streets of Downtown LA's Skid Row in collaboration with the Los Angeles Mission.

We talk about homelessness all the time, but we rarely listen to those living it. And that's a loss because they have wisdom to share. Surviving the streets takes strength and courage that few will ever know.

I’ve accumulated 200 hours of raw conversations. 100 beautiful portraits.

These voices deserve more than our sympathy—they deserve our attention. To bring these stories to light, I need your help finding aligned partners. Our goal is to help benefit the 89 year-old Los Angeles Mission. whose purpose is to facilitate the collaboration of organizations seeking to improve the quality of life in their communities that fall beneath the poverty level through the implementation and coordination of comprehensive social programs and community initiatives; and coordinate activities that focus on breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty, by stabilizing people in a safe and spiritual environment, connecting them to solutions and walking with them on their journey by creating civic, educational, and employment opportunities of advancement for those in need.

Together let's remind the world how to care again.
